Step 8 — Configure the Resource

Open the resource configuration files and configure them for your server.

Depending on the product, this can include:

  • Framework
  • Locale
  • Inventory
  • Target
  • Notifications
  • Text UI
  • Database
  • Permissions
  • Integrations

Common configuration locations include:

config.lua
config/
shared/config.lua
locales/

Protected Nord Forge builds are designed to keep supported configuration, locale and public files editable.

Do not edit protected runtime files

If a runtime file is protected, do not attempt to remove or bypass the protection.

Use the exposed configuration files and documented APIs instead.
